					<title>Signing with Shade-Records Nashville and Studio Time</title>
					<link>http://jareddanielsband.com/jdbblog.cfm?feature=3016037&amp;postid=1992716</link>
					<description>I guess I&apos;ll start with the recording part first. &amp;nbsp;I had never been in a &amp;quot;real&amp;quot; recording studio before going to &amp;quot;The Toy Box Recording Studio&amp;quot; in Nashville, Tn. &amp;nbsp;All of our other recordings were recorded in a metal shop and it went with what we had in the budget at the time. &amp;nbsp;
When I first moved to Nashville my plan was to go in and start playing everywhere and go right into the studio and record a full lenght album. &amp;nbsp;Well that &amp;nbsp;was 9 months ago and we&apos;re just about to release the first single haha. &amp;nbsp;Kind of funny how things and plans change. &amp;nbsp;
&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Within a few weeks of being in Nashville I had met the CEO and President of Shade-Records Nashville Mr. Dustin Keith. &amp;nbsp;We had a few projects we worked on together in the fall and I got to know him pretty well. &amp;nbsp;In the beginning of 2012 he approached me with the offer to sign with Shade-Records Nashville. &amp;nbsp; I accepted the offer and he began laying out the plan for JDB&apos;s future. &amp;nbsp;The first thing he mentioned was how we needed some very &amp;quot;professional&amp;quot; recordings to go along with our live show (that he had never seen until March after I had signed with Shade-Records). &amp;nbsp;He was in touch with a few different studio&apos;s and we settled on going with &amp;quot;The Toy Box Studio&amp;quot; where fellow Kansan Logan Mize had tracked his latest album &amp;quot;Nobody in Nashville&amp;quot;.
&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;We began the recording process in the middle of March. &amp;nbsp;I thought it would only take us a few days and a few days turned into a few more days. &amp;nbsp;We met some amazing musicians that we had come in to fill out a few parts. &amp;nbsp;But it was great because Kevin Henrichs and Garrett Reser who play in the road band were able to come and play on the record which that doesn&apos;t happen very often. &amp;nbsp;Our producer Lij Shaw was great to work with. &amp;nbsp;He pushed all of us to the limit but, I think you guys will hear better things out of the album because of him. &amp;nbsp;We&apos;re very excited for the new single release &amp;quot;Foot on the Dashboard&amp;quot; and can&apos;t wait for ya&apos;ll to hear it!

					<title>Finally made it here</title>
					<link>http://jareddanielsband.com/jdbblog.cfm?feature=3016037&amp;postid=1637643</link>
					<description>&amp;nbsp;When I started thinking about moving to Nashville, there were a million different things running through my head.&amp;nbsp; Like how it went from Kendra White and I playing at Bobby T&apos;s in Manhattan to our first band with Zac Bishop, Kevin Meier and Kevin Henrichs to playing with Jason Mann, Kenton Ashcraft, Dan Minihan and Garrett Reser and now deciding to move to Nashville.&amp;nbsp; But, I finally had my mind made up that I was going to do it.&amp;nbsp; After I told my family at Easter that I was going to I knew they thought I was crazy (Who wouldn&apos;t think someone is crazy by just up and moving to Nashville where dreams crash and burn) but they were also supportive.&amp;nbsp; I had a great friend David Oakleaf who had been in Nashville for 5 years telling me I was going to be alright out here.&amp;nbsp; Well that&apos;s pretty easy for a guy to say that&apos;s been on CMT haha.
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Now I&apos;m here in Nashville and have been for roughly about 5 months.&amp;nbsp; I have to say it&apos;s been a great learning experience out here.&amp;nbsp; Being around great songwriters and performers night after night.&amp;nbsp; To be honest when I first was out here I did not want to pick up a guitar and sing.&amp;nbsp; Sometimes the room would be filled with a few people who had written number one hits. I feared my songs were not worthy of them even listening to.&amp;nbsp; But, always having good friends, family and fans I had to hop up on that stage and do it.&amp;nbsp; But, I&apos;ll tell you I was more nervous playing in front of that group of 20 people than I ever was playing in front of 18,000 people at a festival.
&amp;nbsp; After a few weeks David Oakleaf and I began our writing sessions like we had planned to and began to write the new songs for JDB&apos;s new album.&amp;nbsp; As we were working on it I brought him a song I had sitting on the table for quite a bit about K-State.&amp;nbsp; We sat down and finished it with Dustin Keith and decided that it needed to become our first priority.&amp;nbsp; So we hopped in the studio with producer Michael Adams and fellow musicians Dustin Keith, Kevin Henrichs and Garrett Reser and recorded it.&amp;nbsp; It&apos;s been a fun experience with this song because there is nothing else like it out there and it makes me a very proud wildcat!
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Now as 2012 is about to begin and less than 11 days away we&apos;re looking to what JDB is going to be coming out with next.&amp;nbsp; I&apos;ve been meeting with a guy and potential manager talking about JDB&apos;s future album and direction we&apos;re going to take to get you some new stuff.&amp;nbsp; And I&apos;m very excited in the direction we&apos;re headed.&amp;nbsp; We&apos;re looking to be able to release something to you guys in March/April if not before.&amp;nbsp; Also a little secret for the ones who read this,&amp;nbsp; We&apos;re going to be recording our first &amp;quot;real&amp;quot; music video and It&apos;ll come out along with the new tunes.
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Also for everyone in Kansas if our friends Reckless Rebellion, Lucas Maddy, Randel Stueve Band, Stewart Ray, Craig Stennass, Aaron Traffas, Logan Mize or any other Kansas band (sorry if I missed anyone) is playing close please go check them out!&amp;nbsp; They&apos;ll show you a great time

&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Kansas will always be my home sweet home.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Thanks for all the support and have a very Merry Christmas and we&apos;ll see ya&apos;ll in 2012!
